Salute To The Sun
From the very first yoga class I attended, I have been introduced to many styles of salute to the sun.
Beginning with a few rounds of salutations can help connect your body and breath and give you time to check in with how your body has presented on the mat.
Sun Salutations are a great way to energise your body, increasing your heart rate, core temperature and bringing with it more strength and flexibility. It will also open your hamstrings, shoulders, and chest, as well as release tension.
Sound good?
Although we don't always have the time to fit in a full hour of practice, jumping on your mat and practicing 3 rounds of salute to the sun is achievable and consistency is the key.
You don't need to be able to touch your toes, or execute the perfect Downward Dog to attend a yoga practice, you just need to show up with an open mind
